One of the most dramatic hands of the 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event unfolded on Day 4, when three players committed their stacks after a flop that gave two of them sets.
Jeremy Moore emerged as the clear winner, tripling his stack after defeating both pocket aces and a lower set. For BCPoker readers following the tournament, the hand was a reminder that even premium starting cards can become almost worthless after the flop.
The pot also involved Jordan Griff, runner up in the 2024 Main Event, and actress and experienced poker player Farah Galfond.
Pocket Aces Fall to Two Flopped Sets
The hand took place on a televised feature table during Level 18, with blinds at 6,000/12,000 and a 12,000 big blind ante.
The action was shown on a flop of J♥ 9♥ 3♠. Moore was already all in for 315,000, while Galfond had committed her entire stack of 461,000. Griff covered both opponents but was in serious trouble once the cards were revealed.

Moore had flopped top set with pocket jacks. Galfond held middle set with pocket nines, while Griff’s pocket aces had fallen to third place despite being the strongest hand before the flop.
Griff needed one of the two remaining aces in the deck to move ahead of both opponents. Galfond required the final nine or another board development that could give her the winning full house.
River Gives Moore a Full House and a Triple Up
The 6♣ on the turn did not change the order of the three hands.
The 3♦ arrived on the river, pairing the board and improving Moore to jacks full of threes. His full house remained ahead of Galfond’s nines full of threes, while Griff’s aces were eliminated from contention.
Moore collected the huge pot and moved beyond one million chips.
He celebrated the result in unusual fashion. While the dealer counted the stacks, Moore dropped to the floor beside the table and began performing push ups.
The reaction matched the scale of the moment. He had survived a three way all in, beaten two extremely strong holdings and moved into a far healthier position in the tournament.
Galfond and Griff Exit With the Same Payout
Galfond remained composed after losing with a full house. She smiled at the table despite seeing her pocket nines run into the only set that had her beaten on the flop.
Her Main Event run ended in 722nd place, earning her $25,000.
Griff was eliminated shortly afterwards. The former Main Event runner up finished in 734th place and received the same $25,000 prize.
Moore continued playing into the final level of the evening after his triple up.
The hand became one of the clearest examples of a poker cooler at this year’s Main Event. Griff started with aces, Galfond flopped a set and still neither player was close to the winning hand once Moore revealed pocket jacks.
